what to use for heating?

kurt1288 May 01, 2005 04:13 PM

I have read that both undertank heating pads and lamps work fine for heating. What I would like to know is, does one way of heating (pad or lamp) work better for a leopard gecko? Thanks.

In my experience belly heat is best. Go with the UTH, just make sure that you use a thermostat to regulate temps.

Would an undertank heating pad be safe to use with a tank that is on a wooden dresser? Does the pad go totally underneath the cage or inside on the bottom? Thanks.
