after 125 days....

aaron j casillas May 01, 2005 11:32 PM

I got my snow litter.
7 snows, 4 albinos 3 anerys, and 1 "normal".
This was a joint effort with by buddy John Wisser from Tropical Vision.
I bred a snow boa to a het snow female. It was worth the wait.

Hi,

Congratulations with this result.
At this moment I can only dream of a litter like that.... still waiting for my het. brian sharp albino to drop here babies.

I have a question about your 125 days .... is that after here Post Ovulation Shed?
I am currently at day 119 after POS and I am a kind of worried about here taking so long.

My other question is could you smell it in your snake room that she delivered before you saw it?
I heard that there will be a particular smell..

Thanx Danny

It was 125 days after the POS, so I guess you still have a few days before you start to panic. I didn't smell anything, but when I walked in the snakeroom, the female was angrily striking against the glass in her cage.

Congratulations!

That is a nice looking clutch, love those snows!

Great looking animals, best of luck with them all. Great numbers on that clutch!

aaron j casillas May 02, 2005 09:26 AM

First of all, thanks for all the kind words.
Second, has anyone had a litter go this long after the POS?
I was seriously starting to doubt this girl was going to have these babies. Luckily there were no slugs.

We have a female that is 125 today... She had a pre waxy stool about 3 days ago and we truly expected them this weekend BUT... nothing... I am fairly sure i will get something out of her BUT. i dont know what the chances are that she will have live babies after that much time ive heard that they mortality rate increases.. I am just hoping for some nice looking Salmons to prove out my Poss Super Salmon from Rich.. Anyways I'll let everyone know who it turns out..

Good luck with her. I guess boas don't listen to the "day 105" stuff anymore.

ajfreptiles May 02, 2005 10:16 AM

Sounds like a great litter...after 125 days maybe the snows are stronger...with slow brewing!! Good Luck. Andy
