Wild-collected aberrant atrox (photo)

.. this is a pretty snake. What do you think? Hypo-ish, Xanthic-ish? Tail rings and tongue are purple, not black.

From way down in S. Texas.

Very impressive snake. What surprises me is that the white is wider than the black on the tail. Very much like a Mojave.

Yeah, that animal is certainly all atrox, and it looks "caramel" to me....very lightly colored...interesting snake. good find. It would be interesting to see what offspring would look like...I'm inclined to believe that they very well might express similar traits.
