Those are beautiful Aaron....where are all the females for them?
I wish you all the luck with them.
Like I said before.....I don't think there is a thayeri out there that I don't like....LOL
Thanks for the pics Aaron,
John Lassiter
They are all nice, my favorite is the first. But john is right....you need some females
Jim
I bought a group of 15 fresh hatch nonfeeders at a good price in 2003 and it turned out there was only 3 females in the whole bunch. I lost 4 of the males, unfortunately I just could not get them to eat and was left with 8.3. I have since bought a female melanistic and a female buckskin (from VIVID) but I still have too many males. They all look different though so it's hard to part with any of them.
I know what you mean Aaron....It is hard to part with any of them.
I was at the point of trying to get every possible color/pattern combination, but I soon found out the possibilities are endless.
Aren't thayeri cool snakes to work with?????
John Lassiter
I think I like this one the best Aaron.
If the bands were a little wider it would be milksnake phase....cool snake with unique look to him.
How's breeding season over there Aaron?
You got some Mexmex breeding?
How's the Alterna as well?
Keep us posted. I hope it is going better over there than over here.....First time breeders are laying slugs in my snake room.
I hope a second breeding takes if not there is always next year
John Lassiter
I have 2 gravid greeri and 1 gravid knoblochi. I have seen copulation in my 1 adult mexmex female. I should start seeing breeding activity soon from my Hwy. 277, West Langtry, River Rd. and Davis Mtns. alterna. I have seen breeding activity in some of my Black Gap alterna. From those I could possibly produce aneries, hypos and maybe even 1 or 2 ghosts if I am fortunate.
Good luck with all of them Aaron.
I can't wait to see how they all turn out.
Keep me/us posted.

All great thayeri Aaron. I really like the #'s 8, 10, and 3. Who am I kidding? I liked them all.
Great photos,
Uncloudy
All beauties Aaron! Thanks for sharing. DV
This is another one of my males. Do you ever produce any similar to him? ie high band count, gray or green/gray background and that same head pattern except with alternates that are just dots on the sides and don't go all the way around the top? Also I don't like really jagged back borders on a thayeri I like the smoother borders with just a little jaggedness.
Excluding the milksnake & melanistic this is the pattern phase which I consider most distinct from greeri (which often have fewer more jagged diamond saddles and a black head blotch) and mexmex (which often have squarish saddles and a tri-lobed black bordered red head blotch). This is a snake I would like to add to my collection, although I don't think I've seen any of yours quite as "dirty" as this one I have pictured here lol. I like the clean ones too, it's mostly the pattern I'm talking about.

Hi Aaron,
Yes, I do. In fact, I have a 2004 male that looks pretty similar. He may not have quite as high a band count though. He does have just a couple of slightly jagged saddles, but that's it. His ground color is a clean, light cream-gray with a bronze blush on his head, and he has a few alternators. His father is from my white line. I can shoot over a photo if you like. DV
Ya send me a photo if you don't mind. Thanks.
Aaron,
I have a photo. Please send me your e-mail address. Mine is thayeridan@snet.net.
