Vet ASAP. That is not good. Get him into a vet today. Depending on how long his hemipenes have been like that he could either lose one or both. Don't give him any antibiotics that aren't vet approved - it's hard to figure out the correct doses and you don't know that it's a bacteria that's causing the problem. Like I said - vet NOW (or yesterday)...at least IMO.

Do you really have to think about this one?

Take that snake to a vet.

Probably stop twisting him too.

Take that snake to a vet.

It would be best if you didn't bend the poor snake so severly. If you just hold him up we would be able to see his hemi. That has to be painful for the poor guy to be bent like that.

You can soak the hemi in a solution of salt & water and if the hemi has not been out too long it will reduce back down and go in. I am assuming that this male is in a container with a female as I have never seen my males "put themselves out" for no reason. If you have him in with a female, I suggest you put him in his own container so as to avoid this happening in the future - amoung other reasons. Once a male has a problem with retraction, it seems that in most cases it is a continued problem.

If the hemis does not go in he will loose it as it will dry up and have to be removed.

As far as not eating goes, since he is a male it is more than likely due to sexual desires overriding eating ones. That should pass shortly. It still would be most prudent to have a vet check for internal parasites just in case that is another cause.

I would be very careful on how drastically you bend any snake in the future, that can cause severe damage to the spine.

actually i removed him out from female cage, cause he seem too weak and refuse to eat for too long. After i pick him up his hemi are out and didn't back till now (10 hours more!)
the more serious is i didn't see his tongue! what the hell he is? he don't have power to head up now.

The fact that he isn't flicking his tongue in and out, is a sign that he's very sick indeed. It means that he's no longer interested in what's going on around him - this is a basic survival instinct.

If he's also too weak to lift his head, then he is in very bad shape.

Try and get some water into him. I've had one old girl make a miraculous recovery when she got into this sort of state after egg-laying. Get a small container of water and actually lift his head so that his mouth is in the water. If you can add some sort of reptile-safe vitamin supplement or pro-biotic, then so much the better.

Have I understood you right, that the hemipenes have now gone back in?

Do you have a reptile vet anywhere near you?
