Shipping from the Daytona show?

BobS May 02, 2005 11:38 AM

If you fly down to the Daytona show and see a bunch of things you "have to have" How do you ship them back home safe and sound?

Are there any vendors down there that provide shipping as a paid service to get your stuff back home for you. Would like to do this on the up and up. Thanks for any input.

Bob.

That's an interesting biz opportunity for someone.

As for shipping yourself, are you a known shipper with delta or continental? If you are you could see if their schedules include Daytona, or you could ship out of Orlando where i know delta has service and continental almost surely does. If you're not a known shipper you could probably achieve that in plenty of time for the daytona show, if you started now.

funny, but a great serious idea too. if "rumors" that one or the other of those has decided to accept snakes ever prove to be true, it would be a great source of revenue and maybe one of the "pack and ship" places that is authorized for fed ex or ups would find it viable to open a booth there. it'd be a great service.

i'm going to post on the shipping forum, see if any of this is possible, even though i drive to the show and don't need the service. there are other cities where i do sometimes need to ship stuff back from.
