hey, i just picked up two mossies at a show this past weekend. the big tailess one(5 in body) turned out to be a sameiti. her fingers and toes seemed to be longer and less webbed than my other four mossies, at first i thought she was a juvie fim. shes real aggressive and ate four crickets last night. i have a real nice pic down her throat, and i wanna post it soon. but ive had my other mossies for about a year now, the females[pied] about 6in long and real hefty with big chalk sacks. last month she layed two dud eggs against the glass and the screen. two nights ago she layed another dud. theyre nice and white, but against the glass. my male that shes with has a whole lot of black in his mouth, about 2/5 of it is black. plus hes a lot smaller than her. the mouth of the female hes with is about 1/5 black in the back. the smaller female that i just picked up has the same amount of blackness in her mouth as my male and shes quite a bit smaller too. im wonderin if anyone who has large groups of sikorae has noticed this difference or any other differences other than just the two subspecies. ill try to post some pics.
