Im off to the great state of AZ next weekend in that never ending quest for several, as yet, unphotographed species. Hopefully I will have the goods to post next week, and pictures of me and my wife's new piece of dirt!

Cheers

Hello,I am a taxidermist,I don't do freeze drying because I don't have a freeze dryer. I found this at freezedry.com :Contact us at:

I don't know if they have what you are looking for?

Also,at taxidermy.net they have a for sale board and people have freeze dryers for sale on there sometimes. They also have a wanted board.

I am off herping this week end with my son also. We live in southwest Oregon and we are going to the desert in southeast Oregon. We are looking to photograph Collared lizards,Night snakes and Great Basin rattlesnakes, aswell as others. I just hope the weather holds out.

How much land do you have? It is great to have your owen property. I have 330 acers.

My son,he is 13 and I are planing a trip south next year,we want to spent a week or two and look for rattlesnakes to photograph in Nevada,S.Cal. and Arizona. Maybe you could give us some pointers for the southern deserts? I have a lot of experiance with v. oreganus,I have seen almost 60 snakes this spring. They just started to move from thier den sites now and are harder to find. I think Crotalids are great animals to watch.

Have fun and good luck, Dean

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the lead, I actually spoke with those guys and they are sending me a qoute on small equipment, I had no idea taxidermists were using lypholization equipment for mounts, pretty neat stuff. Well we are only looking at 5acres, and thats probably 4 more than we really need LOL. But they dont make dirt anymore so keep what you have!!!
Drop me an email and we can talk about the southwest some more.

Cheers
Lat
