Should I get a thermostat for my heating setup? If I should, is there a preffered one to get? Can some people give me examples of the thermostat they use? Thanks.

Hello, i use a pulse proportional thermostat made by habistat. It is very handy as it pulses to keep a constant 90*f hot spot. You can get a few different types of thermostats. Some maintain a temp within 5 degrees these are generally cheaper and will only hold a certain number of heat mats. Hope this helps some what. Check out my new site!

Im sorta confused with the whole termostat thing...how do you hook them to your heat pad? Do they just plug in or something? And also, where do you buy them? Sorry to sound dumb...

Umm lol. When you buy your thermostats they come with instructions like almost all products. It is then up to you to decide wether or not to read them. They are dead easy to understand, you basically plug your mat into your thermostat then it will regulatethe temp you have set. It should have a sensor which you should place directly over your heat mat resting on top. Hope this helps some what. Check out my site!
