Found this little guy yesterday in the sandhills of NC. This is what they look like from the sandhills of NC.
Peter, you need to take another pic of that nice yearling you got. I think she's awesome. That last pic didn't do her any justice! By the way, Peter MD does NOT suck! But I DID get your attention BOO WAA HAHAHA!!!

You need to come back down here soon, MAN! I also found a Hoke County scarlet king)!

i live in the east fayetteville area, vander.............but whats ironic i grew up as a teen in grays creek, on the roslin farm rd, just off 301 south, behind the pit stop.

There is also a bunch of pygmy rattlesnakes up in the sand hills.

... i drove through there in route 17 last august during a rainstorm.

saw a LARGE canebrake rattlesnake, just hit, on 17 - and this was about 12 miles north of wilmington.

yep there are a lot of canebrakes up by burgaw also if you go up by Topsail their are a bunch of copperheads if you go road cruising on the reight night.

We have lots of copperheads here. My friends say there are corns too but I haven't seen any in my area.

Hi there! Have you seen any Eastern kings in your area or pine snakes? Went herping down there once and found a beautiful black & white HUGE Eastern Hognose (He was just under four foot). He was so thick, that at first I thought I found a pine snake, until I got to see his whole body.
I do have to admit that cornsnakes are very common here along with copperheads.
