he'll probably go blue in a day or two. You can always try a live mouse to get his appetite started.

Often times when a snake is going into shed it will go off feed and then usually eat when the shed cycle is over. When the snake is "blue" my best advise is to leave it alone since its vision will be impared you would be more apt to scare it or be bitten. Balls are picky eaters and can go off feed. Unless the snake starts to lose body mass I wouldn't worry much. How old is the snake and how big ie: weight, length?

Hasn't eaten all year as in, since January? Was it eating well before this, and if so how much and how often? The stool was solid I assume. That's a good sign generally. How old is it? Might possibly just be confused as to when it's off feed season is . You also say it's losing color, like getting darker, fading? Is it possibly going to go into a shed? Sorry but with out a little more info I be stumped.

Tosha, brought up a good point. It sounds like all you have tried is f/t. Try live, I bet that will get things started. If that dosen't work there's always the bag trick, and the rodent hole method. Try mice and rats of different sizes. Then there's scenting, and lights on, lights off (don't give em' the Jimmy Hendrix light show. Try it once with the lighs on, and then try with the lights off.). Just keep triing every method untill you get him to feed. Good luck!

he seems to be getting darker and he ate about 3 maybe 4 times this year in 4 full months and he usually ate about twice a month and always ate really quick the last time i fed him it took him a very long time to even strike at the mouse i dont wnat to feed him a live mouse for personal reasons but if its the extremely last resort i will
