this beautiful hypo het/anery male is part of a trio mike alvarez and i bought a couple years ago from rod miller. Mike's female's too small to go this year, mine's not (hopefully) so we've got the male at my place. She's resisted his advances so far--maybe needs another shed--but this female (a pinstriped tricolor het/anery) has been receptive three times now. the pairing should produce ghosts and hypos possible het anery.
The real anticipation is with the young if/when my female breeds to him, though: this trio came from an extreme hypo x ghost pairing rod did: in theory, each of them might be "het" for extreme or (since we don't know the genetic pattern yet) at least carrying the tendancy for extreme. So the pairing (with the other female, his sibling) has the potential to produce extreme ghosts, along with "regular" ghosts, extreme hypos poss het anery, along with "regular" hypos poss het anery.
I MIGHT also breed him x my other extreme hypo female (the first is shown in the post below, being bred to a different male)...since this male came from an extreme father and might have a genetic predisposition to that trait, breeding him x an extreme female might produce more extremes, and give us some more insight into the heriditary pattern.
