GREAT NEWS!!!!!

I spoke with Roy Engledorf tonight and he informed me that our friend Cervantes has been transferred to Dimmit County. I will have a drink on that one! I guess now he can play policeman and harass South Texas collectors. Anyone like to hunt Carizzo Springs? Enjoy your trip Cervantes. Yeehaw!

And what attitude do they have?

Roy did not seem to know who was taking his place. Could we get lucky and have no one take his place? I also understand DPS will be coming back out there. If this happens, I can't make it from Del Rio to Big Bend anymore in 3 hours! Sanderson is the kinda town where Neither of the two are needed. Local Sheriff is fine.

DPS at night or in the day time or both?
Either way I don't speed often so it doesn't matter to me.

As long as they understand our rights as hunters...

So long cervantes...

Steve, if DPS gets in, that means they will be based in Sanderson and I am sure it will be day as well as night. It will suck big time. They get rid of a bad apple, and gain a few more. Doesn't make sense. I will be thinking about all of you guys when I am sucking down a margarita at Crosbys Saturday. By the way, I found that not only is it Cinco De Mayo this weekend, but the rodeo is in Del Rio. There are no motels to be had. Looks like camping out at the lake, then heading to Sanderson to make headquarters there. Hasta!

On the run to RR this June I hope to make a night in Sanderson on the way down and/or the way back.

But as always the trip will be seat of the pants the whole time, no advanced reservations, just move with the flow.
