Can I feed my leopard gecko earth worms????

I was wondering if I can feed my leopard gecko earth worms???. Thanks Scott Glover

Not sure your gecko would even eat one, and if he did i don't know that it would be very good for him. Nutritional value (or a lack of) aside, keep in mind that whatever is inside the earthworm will be inside your gecko. I'm no worm expert, but i recall from using them as fish bait that they mainly seemed to consist of slime and dirt with some guts thrown in.....

Also, I thought I recalled hearing somewhere that some worms, red wigglers maybe, can actually be toxic. It may just be an urban legend, since I can't even remember where or why I heard it....

She did eat one earth worm a couple months ago. and it did not do any think to her. I was not sure if I sould feed her one now or not?. Thanks Scott Glover

actually a think earth warms are supposed to be a really good food, if you can get them to eat it. They are really nutritious and considered one of the best fish foods. I know that we're talking about feeding reptiles and nutritional requirements are different. Even still i think they would make a good treat. Not good for a staple as you can't hut load them and all that. If you are going to used them you need to get the soil out of them before feeding. For this you can take them and put them in a tupperware contaire with moist paper towels (so they don't dry out) and wait 24 hours. They should eliminate all the waste in them in this time.
