Some Breeding Questions! Please Reply

Palex134 May 03, 2005 05:33 PM

Well, Im getting some more cresteds soon and I have a question. For Breeding, should I house the male with the female for the whole time she is laying eggs or should I remove him once she has started? If I have the male breed with the female, will she retain sperm and keep laying the clutches of 2 eggs or does the male have to continually keep breeding with her X amount of times to get X clutches?

Thanks

I personally leave my males in the cage with the female all the time except for 3 months out of the year I do this because I believe if you take out the male after she starts laying she may not lay fertilized eggs 2 or 3 clutches later.
