Thanks Chris,
I'm hoping I get some more like the male.
I've heard several folks on the forums say they were going to rest feamles that had been producing consecutively in years past. I'm not against this but it's probably wise to consider that an adult female once hibernated will produce egg folicles usually and go through the process of being gravid. In my experience the snake goes off feed during that time period and it's kind of self defeating. On one end you're not breeding her to allow her to rest and on the other end she's producing eggs and losing wieght from doing so and not eating.
Seems like it's better to just breed them.
Great looking cal king. I love that stark contrasting black and white.

Hey Russ,
So do you think I ought to go ahead and double clutch her again this year? I was thinking I would rest her from double clutching this year. She has double clutched the past two years. She ia a great feeder and has great body size. Do you think it would be better to go ahead and double clutch her this year and then not breed her next year?
There is another thing I'm considering. I have three and maybe four female cal kings I'm breeding this year. I just dont want to have an over abundance of hatchlings to care for. I'm sure I'm going to have my hands full as it is.
I have this female (PIC) and maybe an albino high white that are possibles this year CG
if you don't wish to double clutch, feed them slowly after the first clutch and keep them away from the boys
They may do it regardless of what you do in the end.
Russ
