.. the snake was too busy trying to make a getaway for me to take a photo like the other one. Oh, I took several, here's an example. Yes, I was prepared to take the photo of the snake out of its box, but when that didn't work I was prepared to put it back in and stop trying with it out. To me, that's one of the most important rules with venomous, DON'T GET COMPLACENT. Just because I thought I had the setting right to take photos didn't mean it was correct. When I realized that I couldn't "control" the snake and take photos I stopped with the photos -- much more important to manage the snake safely!
