Question on Crested Gecko morphs

SecretSReptiles May 04, 2005 09:49 AM

Hello crested Gecko fans. My fiancé' and I are new at cresteds, and are looking into possibly start breeding Crested Gecko's. But for now, we are looking to see what is out there first. For starters, I have a few questions on about there colors and morphs.
My first question is:
What morphs/colors are out there for cresteds?
Are some of the morphs genetic like co/dom or recessive genes?
If so, what morph is dom. or co/dom.?
thanks much in advance.

hey, i invite you over to the Rhacodactylus forum. when you click on forums, go to geckos. then on the right side there will be a hyperlink just before the topics appear.
crested gecko traits are not that easy to determine and only the best breeders in the country are even just starting to separate out what traits are more dominant than others. if you truly want to learn about Rhacs, you really need to purchase this book, here is a link http://www.acreptiles.com/rhac_book.htm
i own a copy and the photos are phenomenol. there is a zone based morph guide that will be very helpful, and will show you pictures of the most desired cresteds available.
