hi,
for a few days Abe eagerly lapped the repta-aid from the syringe. one day i let him drink .5 cc of it, he was just so hungry/thirsty. but then that ammount dwindled and he refused it altogether. we had him put down yesterday
it was a sad day for us all. but keeping him alive was even more painful, i hated seeing him suffer and now he is at peace.
on a lighter note, the vet who saw him knew a cham breeder! and told the guy our story and needless to say i now have a new male free of charge. he is a 3.5 month old "high orange" veiled male. i've never heard of a high orange before, is this a sunburst? because this male is mostly all orange even down to his tail, with green spots. hes really pretty, but a little thin. i'll fatten him up though
yesterday he ate 4 waxworms and 3 crickets! hes right about to shed too, so i cant wait to see his true colors underneath. his name is Kal.
i'll get some pics up soon. but i was wondering, he is flat on one side. its really weird. it looks like his ribs go out and then do a 90 degree turn straight down. where the other side of him is curved to his belly. i have heard that chams can "flatten" themselves like a leaf sometimes, maybe he is just stressed and trying to do this? not sure though, what do you think.
