Sounds like a bad shed due to lack of humidity. You can let your snake soak in shallow luke-warm water for 30-60 minutes or provide a hide with moist (not soaking wet) sphagnum moss. Also, another technique is to put the snake in a moistened pillowcase overnight. If shedding in patches, the skin should be gently removed with forceps.

If these techniques do not relieve the symptoms, then a vet should be consulted.

Anything beyond keeping clean and improving husbandry should be done only under vet guidance. (what's with the triple antibiotic? it's a prescription drug)

It is impossible to guess what is going on without at least a picture. It is faster and more accurate to just go to the vet first.

I know it is prescription in many other countries, probably in CA as well. But there are tons of $3 tubes of neosporin available in the States.

Is that what triple antibiotic stands for? Yah, we have that and call it polysporin. It's rather mundane stuff and doesn't do much in regards to treating an infection (the goal when using antibiotics). The ointment part of the product is perhaps more of a help than the ab's
