I am actually surprised but glad. She is only 102g (last clutch she was 128g) so I am hoping this is a much smaller clutch. 2 weeks ago they saw only follicles in her ultrasound, but I kept her tub in anyway and she was in it twice but came out. That is very unusual for her as she usually ignores it unless ready to dig. Today I heard her digging IN her cricket cup so I began a hole for her and put her in - down she goes. After a full year and 3 clutches she still has us confused.

Sheesh! I thought owning a female wouldn't be as cool as owning a male because they have to lay all the time and they aren't as colorful..but your posts and your crazy cham makes it sound more fun to have a female!!

Hardly! She has developed MBD due to her ongoing calcium imbalance, gets dehydrated and doesn't eat for weeks at a time. $700 in vet bills since Decemeber is certainly not fun either! Not going to breed? stick with the male!

$700 in vet bills THIS year alone, MBD, calcium imbalance, edema, dehydration, feeding issues, grey hairs/hair loss... Yep! sounds like a BLAST to me!
