Trying to see if anyone here is interested in going back west for field observation of zonata and rosy boas during mid/late May then please contact me.
I have many years experience. For "first time" east coasters this will be a trip of a lifetime. Essentually this will be a guided 5 day tour at a low budget. This is for people that are frequent posters on this forum and non west-coast residents. Great opportunity for east coast herpers willing to try for some unusual herps.

I hate to say this, but if you make down around my way, I think we have to meet up. I could put up with a few East Coasters for a couple hours......lol. Hope the trip comes together.

If I make it out there the agenda will be pretty fast paced:

day 1 (Sierras)Bass lake

Day 2 (Sierras)Shaver lake for rubbers and zonata . Then drive to high desert near Death Valley (Trona)for night driving.

day 3. Low desert Palm Springs and nightdrive WW. Verbenia, Snow Creek, Pioneer town and a few secret spots. If its not to dry up to San Jacinto for z's during the day.

day 4 Borrego

day 5 . kinda open for what the best conditions are here. Lake Elsinore at sunset and if its hot enough San Gabriel for Z and rosys.

I honestly didn't think about the Tiermay thing until after I posted. Ed Tierney was a "troubled" poster in the very early days of KS that was one of a kind. Part of his thing was inviting people to NV and AZ for guided herp trips, of course, for a small fee. The trip idea just reminded me of him, but I know you didn't ask for a fee. I like your gig, bring 'um out west! Keith (Carlson) asked a stupid question for a stupid reason, just trying to get a reaction. Maybe Day 4, I'd likely be out there anyway.......keep us updated. Is Bart coming out again?

I am sure Bart would love to but it seems he aways has other priorities this time of year. The nerve.
