I have a trio, 1 female and 2 males, I am curently keeping them in a 40 gallon tank. The tank is furnished with small and large granite rocks(some are piled together to create caves), grass-like plants, cork branches, and a water-fall. It looks nice, but I want to create their natural habitat. My expectata's are the darker-steel blue legged variety. Does anybody know where this breed comes from, and their natural setting. The frogs are happy and breeding regularly, but after keeping the typical (but nice vivariums) I want to take it to the next step (for me atleast) and recreate all my animals natural settings. Any links to geographical specific plant sites will be greatly appreciated.
3.6 Mantella aurantiaca
2.4 Mantella baroni
1.3 Mantella pulchra
1.3 Mantella expectata
a few more and some reptiles
Any links to the list above (of scientifically accurate information) will be appreciated. No care sheets please. I feel they just tell you how to keep the animals alive and happy, which is really good stuff but im looking for more details.
