A few more pics from the weekend..

He is chunky. He should be leaner, but he is not as FAT as he used to be.

Just some of my suburbia backyard wildfife if you're interested..

As I was looking out the window yesterday this beautiful male grosbeak and another male companion landed on our feeder! What gorgeous birds! I have never seen one of these at our feeder. He stayed long enough to get a picture I hope they come back.

We only have one pair of California Towhee that come to visit the feeder.

There are quite a few common house sparrows and bright yellow goldfinches. I have seen flocks of 50 come to feed here. There are usually more males than females.
house sparrow

Yellow finch and grosbeak.

We have 2 pair of these doves nesting somewhere nearby that come here to eat.

This big fat wood mouse is as huge as a rat. We have quite of few of these because of the bird feeders. He thinks he is watching me in secret..lol

I heard this racket at the other end of the yard and found the source. This little hummingbird is screeching so loud itˇ¦s force was cracking. Itˇ¦s really belting out the noise in the picture, see it's puffed out throat?. Maybe it's a baby? I got within 4 feet and it didn't care, just kept on singing....?... (ow, hurt my ears,)

We have 3 different varieties of humming bird visit our feeder, 4 mated pairs total. The girls are really bold. She circled me, checked me out, and then settled just a few feet from me for a drink.

Have a nice day! -H-
