-You will need something to waterproof and protect the plywood. Humid conditions and moist dirt will rot the wood otherwise.

-If the cage is semi air tight then you may need a vent or 2 for air exchange.

-Temp gun

-Plenty of wood, logs, etc for them to climb on is always fun. The ones I had would climb on tree trunks and limbs I had in their cage.

That is all I can think of now.

It looks like you have done research and put a lot of thought into the cage.

If you are going to have a male, or if you don't know, you should plan on making the cage at least 8 feet long by 4 feet wide. A male argus would be pretty cramped in a 6 x 3 foot cage.

Good luck,

Luke

yea i have a lot of free time during school so i make little lay outs of the cage how it would look how big everything is

as for the stuff u listed i will be making a little screen holes like 2/3 6in circle with screen

i have 2 by a new temp gun my got water in it

i am planing to put a lot of tree limbs in it

and top cover the wood i was gunna put like this white bubble wall stuff that is for the showewrs it comes in 4 by 8 sheets so just screw it onto the wood

the question is
when i get him.her she will be in a a 55 for like 2 months(then in her perminate cage)

question is
should when i fist put him/her in should i make a little buyrrow to helkp him get started
or let him do it
for puting him in new cage how can i make him ore happy to his new cage

I burried a piece of plywood or "plank" a few inches under the dirt. I then got a burrow started so the monitor would know where he could burrow if the dirt was not completely burrowable. Both of my Argus used this as their first burrow and used it every time I rearanged the cages. Before long they had burrows all over the place and this was the main entrance/exit.

It is so cool to watch them digging and throwing dirt out of their holes.

The wood burried on the right side of the cage. The majority of that burrow was dug by Thrasher and has no wood supporting the dirt.

PS. I miss those Argus, I guess I should have kept them.
