Gestation Period

I put my male and female crested geckos together about 3 weeks ago and the female (i assume it is the female doing the digging) is digging in the nest box i put in the cage. She recently grew a little fatter than the male and shed. Is she getting ready to lay her eggs cause this seems like an really short amount of time. Maybe she was just using the moist substrate to help her shed. Haven't found any material that gives the gestation period. Id really appreciate your help cause I dont have the incubation stuff ready yet.
