Outdoor pen finished

Hey everyone...my name is Graham...I've been out of chuck for a few years but couldn't stay away... I've bought from Tom Greb in the past...he's a great guy...glad to see he's still around and back into breeding chuckwallas....

I used the design on www.riobravoreptiles.com . Gus is a good friend of mine and had a very cost effective outdoor enslosure link (10' X 8'). I build it this past sunday and am now working on making my rock outctop and planting it. I found some great native desert wildflower & creosote bush seeds at www.turtlestuff.com .

I have a young adult pair of Cali Orange-back chucks currently (just arrived yesterday) and a CB'03 male South Mountain Carrot-tail coming next tuesday...I love the south mountain chucks...but these cali's are pretty awsome!

Once I get everything done, I'll snap a few pics for everyone.....

Question: Does anyone mix desert iggies with their chucks in outdoor pens? I've been wanting a few desert iguanas for soem time...figured it would be a problem...any thoughts?

Thanks!

Graham

Definately get those pictures snapped! I know dvl has kept desert igs in his large 30 X 30' pen. I keep a group of collareds in my pen ( also based upon Gus's concept). Their serious diggers, so be sure it is escape proof on the edges.

Yes di's and chucks make great cage mates. Kept them together for years in my little indoor enclosures. It is really cool if you can get an adult pair and a juvi male. The are unbelieveably social. Everytime my adult male would go near the juvi male the juvi would roll over on his back and the adult would leave him alone. It was really cool. Tom
