ripper May 05, 2005 05:51 PM

Which is better, raw or cooked ground turkey? My tegu definitely prefers the raw, but is it healthy?

I too use raw ground turkey. 93% lean or better. I suppliment with calcium and vitamin powder though some people use 'bone meal' in their ground turkey. Lean ground turkey was suggested to me by Bennett from beardiedragon.com who breeds red tegus. I have been doing this for some time with no ill effects.

I feed a staple diet of rodents, but I substitute with raw turkey to break things up. I also feed fruits and veggies, superworms, crix, hissing coackroaches, etc.
