..........that many of the Granites in the classifieds are being sold as Granites only because they may display the speckling pattern. If that is the case, it kinda messes things up, eh??
Just throwing my thoughts out there. Thanks!!

I agree. Many of the so called "morphs" being advertised are probably nothing more than interesting Normals.

i think a lot of the adds are just desribing the looks of an animal......i bought a very good looking normal female back in 01 who was advertised as "spiderish"..($75)...she had a reduced pattern and very clean look SOME thin lines but was by no means a spider......if an animal is covered in speckles i think its ok to say hey ive got a granite for sale.......whether or not you claim its genetics are a differant story......i bought again back in 01 two female "granites" which were not even mentioned as such in their adds.......its now because of the granite and yellow belly craze that people are looking to make a buck whether honestly or in some cases not.........look at how many yellow bellies are out there now.......well its only now that we see what they can do are they in ever other add along with the granites......its simple...if you like something and the buyer will take what YOU are willing to pay then it was well worth it......if you buy something you think or were told is the next biggest morph you have a much bigger chance of getting hurt.........im now waiting on 6 eggs each from all three girls i mentioned and if infact i get any granites from them or "spiderish" babies ill be sure to post them.......but if they are all normal and pastel well then i got just what i payed for and expected.....best of luck to all
I think you can call a snake whatever you want. If you want to say you have a yellow belly or a granite fine. But its not a MORPH , untill it is proven out by years of breeding. Once the animal can be proved to re-produce off-spring encorporating the parents genetic background, then the animal can be said its a new MORPH. but untill then the animal can be called whatever you want to call it.
