???? Quick question about laying eggs ????

mavh2 May 05, 2005 07:23 PM

I was just wondering when do balls mainly lay eggs?
To be more specific do you see them mainly during the day
or during the evening?

Or it doesn't really matter, and they lay eggs when mother nature calls.

our first clutch this year was in the middle of the day...between 10 and 5... and the second one (we just posted pics of her laying eggs) was early morning. We check on all the females before going to work at 6:30 expecting eggs and with her we caught her in the act. Had only expelled 2 and ended up with 8 total so I don't have any idea how long that takes but I would assume into daylight. I guess you just never know. I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow and find eggs as we're waiting on one that shed 4/5. Maybe she'll break from the pattern so far this year and do it at night. Good luck.
