well the belly puffing is a bathing thing, they become their own personal floatation device..hehe.. its a nervous thing, and its normal.
the eye could have some particulate matter in it, does she scratch at it at all? what does it look like when open?

i now notice its not the same eye always. the eyes looks normal and clear of any debris when its open.
she might just be shying from something, like if something moves in front of her eye, i find my little one does this, if he is really focusing on something, he will look with one eye and close the other, just a strange thing he does i suppose. When bathing i find they do it often, especially carrick because he dunks his head and has water all over his face.

Very normal behaviour. They will sometimes do that so they can focus in on something with the other eye.
Also, when relaxing, they will often keep one eye open to monitor their surroundings.
