I'd like comments on my anoles setup. I have 1 female green anole.

I made a webpage with pics of the enclosure.

Check it out.

The setup looks fine. The only thing that I think would help is a second fluorescent bulb that is either a normal bulb that simulates sunlight or has a low UVB output. Higher UVB output bulbs don't produce as much visible light. Other than that you have everything an anole could ask for besides more space.

You know.. you're right.

It's dim in there.

Reptisuns produce almost no light lol.

I have a uva incandecent bulb too.. I might try that.

It's easy for me to care for my anole. My troom temp is 80 with out me doing anything. Also living in Alabama is a plus. Always 60% humidity. Which is raised alot by misting.

The humidity stayed at 70% today.

If you can it may be a good idea to cool your room down to at least 75F. 80F is fine for the average temp in a tank but having a cooler side ensures that they can properly thermoregulate. Since your room is so warm I would only use 1 incandescant bulb for the basking spot, continue using you UVB bulb, and use a fluorescent bulb for that extra light. I too have been amazed at how dark the tank looks when I turn off my fluorescent bulb but keep the basking and UVB lights on.

A good combo to use it the one that I am currently using. Besides the regular incandescent basking lights, I have a pair of strip lights. One has a ReptiSun 5.0 and the other has a GE Sunshine fluorescent. The enclosure is brighter, the colors more accurate, and the GE doesn't generate much heat.

My room is way too hot. trhis I know.

I have no door and keep my ceiling fan on high during the day.

My central air unit's thermostat is set to keep the house temp at 70 degrees. My room is the hottest in the house.

Any tips for lowering room temp? I would like it to be 75 degrees at all times.

I'm in the same boat. You may not be able to cool your room but you can cool down the tank. To do that it involves using small fans (like the ones they use in computers) and placing them above the tank. Atrax told me about it and it's been working for me.

You can try adding more regular rooms fans in the room but in opinion they haven't been helping me much. My goal is to buy at least 2 tower fans and trying them out.
