Hi, I haven't posted for a while and at christmas my beardies laid alot of eggs and now that they have hatched and we have sold about 40 we only have about 10 left to sell. So here are a few pics of them now.

Some of these have lost part of their tails so they are harder to sell and so we have split them into three cages so that they don't start nipping each other again. Well tell me what you think.

Yes, I heard about that problem and now we have changed them onto sand, is that better. They are all lovely. Sorry to hear about you beardie, thats really sad. We have had 3 of ours die because 2 of which had abnormalities from birth and the other was so small that one of the others tried to eat him and he lost his eye and then stopped eating. He kept drinking though and held on for about 2 weeks before he passed away. Poor little thing.

Sand (if it is fine grain washed, screen play sand and not large grains or any "edible" reptile sand) is better than alrge wood chips, but is still unsafe. It should only be used with discresion(sp?) and definately only on beardies over 1 year of age. For hatchlings an juvies you can try using newspaper, paper towels, reptile carpet, tile, lineolium, non-stick shelf liner, or any other non particle substrate.

cute babies!
