Hey guys, I will be leaving Florida in about 6 months but at the same time was considering a bearded dragon. I was wondering how well they would do with traveling for short terms. as far as heat, I'm pretty sure that the temperature in the car wouldnt drop any lower than their normal night time temp. and i could always bring a tank with heating and a thermostat to set up in any hotels. and if he needed to sun, he could always sit in the window. just wanted to think of this stuff before i make a commitment and wanted to ask you guys. i want to make sure it would be in the dragons best interests. thanks and any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve,
I would wait until you move to get a beardie. Moving is VERY stressful for them especially if it is moving from one state to another. Also moving from where you get him from to your house can be very stressful also. I would just wait to get him after you move that way he wont get too stressed out. Stress can cause sickness and a lot of parasites so the least amount of stress is best. Hope this helped
