where to make the doors for a cage

hey im gunna be probly getting an argus monitor

what is a good way to make the opening for the cage should make it so half of the top flips open and get him out that way or make sliding doors or open doors, and if th top on
how much should the opening be like 12 inches or 18 inches or w/e

A four foot or taller top opening cage is going to be hard to maintain.

I use (borrowed the idea) just everyday windows that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot. They should be off of the ground to allow deep substrate.

I prefer sliding doors, as don't need to fully swing open the door. On my more agressive feeders (which my argus are) I find being able to just crack the cage opening to be very useful.

Just make sure the substrate dam is high enough to where the substrate you use doesn't get in the tracks that the doors slide on. Just look around in the photo gallery, theres plenty of cages that have been built that will give you ideas.
