Went herping today, average day, about 20 shorthead garters and about 10 northern browns in my usual spot. I decided to go to another area where I've been a couple dozen times, since I was seeing lots of snakes in one of my other areas. Lifted a couple boards, found some shortheads. Went to lift another board, and there was a snake on top of it, it was so light colored, when I looked down at it I just figured it to be another brown snake. It started to flee, so I grabbed it. I picked it up and realized it was a shorthead. I lifted up the board it was on, found another adult shorthead, and held them both up together to make sure I knew what I was looking at lol.

It's hypo alright, atleast by my standards, I've seen (easily) thousands of shortheads, and not one was as light as this.

Pics should be up in a few days.
