Well, I have better news & better photos to share this time.......

.....a beautiful litter of healthy babies arrived last night.

This litter was in collaboration with Jeff Gray. The female was a possible Super Salmon 66% het albino. She was bred by two different Jungle males. Unfortunately I lost one of my males about 1/2 way through the breeding trial thus the use of two different Jungle males. This was her first litter and she proved to be a Super Salmon and a super mom. 16 babies and 3 unfertilized on day 109 POS. It appears that 1/2 the babies are also carrying the Jungle trait so 8 Salmon Jungles. All the babies are active & strong. I caught the action after the first two were born. The whole family got to watch the last 14. Enjoy the photos....mom was very accommodating of our 5 peering faces and the repeated flashes.

I have included a couple photos here but you can see 37 photos at the link below. Some nice sequence photos of the birthing.

....after losing a mother and her babies to sudden death just two short weeks ago this has been excellent therapy. I had the babies out for cleaning up and they are a strong & active bunch. A wonderful sight to see.
