Hey how do you all dechlorinate your water for these horned frogs? i'm cheap and i'm a fishkeeper so is Novaqua and Amquel good or would that kill the frog. Is reptisafe better? Also, I'm looking to buy my first frog so how can you tell if its female or male, or is it even possible at such a young age? Please help me out..thx

I'm not sure but I think you can buy a special dechloriator at maybe a petstore, or you could just leave the water in a bowl or something for 12-24 hours(Don't remember wich). But as I said I'm not sure so, try getting a few more answers before you do anything.

As for the sexing the males are black on there throat and of course the obvious croaking

As for the sexing the males are black on there throat (I don't know if you can see this at an early age) and of course the obvious croaking And also the females tend to get bigger than the males (but this probably can't show at an early age).

Frog and fish need their water to be treated the exact same way. I use Amquel and let it sit over night.

No need to buy anything marketed for herps that costs more! I recommend using both NovAqua and Amquel, that is what I currently use.

dont go with the black throat way, females have black throats too, and their throats are all white at a young age i believe and I'm pretty sure they won't croak at a younge age either, and what are the chances of a horned frog croaking at a petstore in broad day light?

THere just not 100% way to tell at a younge age... unless u get a DNA/sex test
