Where are you in IL? I'm in Quincy.

If you are purchasing an Eastern from someone in IL then you will need only to receive a permit from ID NR. This permit is free. If purchasing from outside the state you will additionally need a federal permit. I believe this permit is $25.00

The IL. contact person is Joseph Kath.

Mike,

The only person I know of is Rob Carmichael but he's probably got a waiting list.

Although I do have a wait list, I tend to give first priority to those who are in-state...I don't advertise and typically only have a handful of babies as most of the others go to nature centers, museums and zoos. Unfortunately, this was my first year in the past 10 years that I got completely skunked; still shaking my head in disbelief but this humbling experience made me realize that there are no guarantees when working with this species and I have learned much. Hopefully, we'll be back on track next year.
