I saw adult female balls that were only $20 each last week at the show.........

and I didn't see anyone grabbing them up either..........

yet they grab the baby wild stuff at $10 each by the bag fulls......

best females to buy.....captive born and bred in the USA......even if you have to get...well actually it would be best to get babies and raise them in your own room......this way they are used to you and your temos, smells, lights and all the other stuff in your house......and will grow and breed in 3 years anyways..........

by the way.......those BIG $20 females probably won't eat for awhile and may not breed again for 2 years ,,,so you'd be just as far along as buying the babies........

yes they were recent imported gravids that have just dumped their eggs.............

as said...I didn't see any takers........

..............wild balls suck....bigtime..........

Sorry to kid. Best to buy cb babies and raise'em. I always wonder why someone would want to get rid of adult females for cheap????

Replace the word cheap with what you do when you sit down on the toilet, and that's what you'll be buying when you find them.

Depends on who is sitting down......yes/no? gender/agenda!!!!!

Check your local newspapers, classifieds etc. there are a lot of people that have adult balls that are trying to get rid of them. Mostly they are good animals that the people get tired of caring for, the new wife doesn't like, they are going off to college, etc. A lot of people don't know what sex their snake is so you need to learn how to properly sex them first tho. Being in the right place at the right time is about all you can hope for to get a breedable female for cheap. Make nice with your local pet shops cause they get them dumped there alot too. Unless it's an amazing animal and you have the time to work with it, don't bother with the WC girls!

I wish I could find the plenty your talking about.

Just in case all you guys out there don't know how to probe. If it goes in deep, it's a female, if it only goes in a couple of scales, it's a male. Send all those male animals to me. LMAO

Hey, it's worth a try, this is the Kingsnake ball python forum.LOL

Thanks I will deffinantly look in the newspapers, I do have a wc adult female, the person I bought her from said that she only eaten 2 mice in 2 months, since I got her she eat 12 mice and never refuses any mouse I put in her cage. Thanks Scott Glover

I picked one up this year 2000 grams, eats F/T twice a week, dumped seven good eggs after one month (she was already gravid when I bought her). The guy at the pet store thought she was a male and sold her to me for $85 (while she was gravid, when I saw her at the store she was laying belly up and was about 4 inches wide). She is back up to 1900 grams already! And yes she is captive bred.
So, don't listen to everyone that says you can't find a good cheap female, just don't expect it to happen every day. you really have to look...hard...in places where other people aren't looking (i.e. not at reptile shows or pets stores that specialize in reptiles).

A guy at a pet shop was selling a adult normal female that was cbb for $85 and she was over 1,000 grams, I went to go buy it but it was already sold. Thanks Scott Glover

Yeah, that is what usually happens, but every once in awhile you get to be the guy that bought it right before someone else. you just have to be really patient. If you look all year, you might find two or three really great deals like this.
