Double het. usually means that the animal in question is heterozygous for two recessive traits. For instance, there many burmese pythons double het. for say, albino and green, or labrynth and granite. If it is the product of a calico to calico breeding it would be a calico.

DH means that said animal would be het for two difrent traits. For example, a DH sunglow boa would be het. for both hypo, and albino.

Im curious as to who you bought your retic from, especally since they are misinforming you. Also, Im not sue if the calico has been proven or not. I have heard it is not genetic, and more of an anomaly. I havent been keeping up on this morph, so it may or may not be true...

...one type of calico bred to another, after which all normal looking babies were produced. When two different strains of albinism are bred together, which are both simple recessive, the resulting offspring generally look normal in coloration but carry both different albino genes. There are certainly a couple of different calicos out there (for instance, normal calicos compared to NERD's high white female), so in theory, breeding two together could produce double hets for both types if all the offspring appeared normal. Then again, the calico gene(s) is/are poorly known, so it may be too soon to make that assessment.
