i'm new to anoles and i was wondering if it's normal for a brown anole to not be able to climb an aqurium wall

It's not normal but I have noticed that my Green Anoles have problems climbing a sheer surface (like and aquarium wall) for a few days just before shedding.

He may be able to do it but is too lazy to do so. When there is something else available to climb they usually don't bother climbing on the glass. I rarely see mine on the glass.

When they are ready to shed, the lamillae on their feet don't generate sufficient Van Der Waal force for them to climb glass. Mine will commonly either slowly slide down the glass as if it was suddenly slippery or just plain fall off. They regain their climbing ability when they shed completely.
