Is this a joke or something? It looks like a scar or white paint. Did you get her that way? Also, do you keep her on those woodchips. If so, I would change to paper towels or tile. Woodchips are very harmful to leos, wether it be the fumes or them getting impacted. You may never have had a problem before but I'd rather change it before you do right? Just my 2cents.

I agree, this looks very strange. I have never seen a normal with this kind of marking. It could be a birth mark or something but its symetrical (sp). You realy should take him off the chips if that is his cage and maby get the poor guy a bigger cage...he looks pritty beat up. :/

NO,the leos is not in this box and i also dont keep him on wood, this is the box i have buyed him from a reptile show.
the white point is no scare or paint! i find the point looks cool.
the leo is a wildcaught,i will breed him to some nice female and hope i received some leo babys with withe points...
sorry for my bad english!
Well thats good to know.
If you are planning on breeding for the white spot, you will only get hets if this spot is a genetic trait. After you get 100% babies that only hold the gene, then you can breed them back to the father to get 50% hets and 50% that show that trait.

seeing as how WC leos are not imported anymore, for the last 7-8 years, i really doubt it's wild caught, looks like you got taken
also, judging by the other bite marks on that gecko, i'd say the scar on it's head is from and bad fight with another male, possibly the idiot who sold that gecko to you had it with another male, not a very smart move
but i hope it does good for you

Hi Bethoven,
That is certainly a very unique looking Leopard Gecko. Thank you for posting a picture of it. The Piebald marking on his head does sort of look like scar tissue but I can also see where it could be genetic. From the picture you have posted it look like the substrate in the container is Sani-Chips, which makes me think you purchased in the U.S., but the fact that you are apologizing for you English leads me to believe you may be from another country. I would love to know where you purchased it. Also from the picture I can see that it definitely looks like a wild caught Leopard Gecko. It has a regenerate tail, the very distinctive heavy Leopard Gecko markings of a wild caught, and also the slender body and tail that one would equate with a wild caught. They are never as healthy looking in the wild as their spoiled rotten captive bred cousins. LOL
Another poster commented that no wild caught Leopard Geckos have been imported in 7-8 years but that is not true. I know for a fact that a shipment came in two years ago that I purchased F2 babies from last year for my Mack Super Snow project. From what the importer told me, he has access to wild caught pretty much any time he needs them. He may not get them directly from the country of origin, but they are available.
Last year I hatched out a few Hypo Tangerine Leopard Geckos that had a slight amount of Piebald looking spotting on their backs. It is actually a laughable amount compared to what your Piebald has but I figure it is still worth trying to prove out. I have no idea if it is genetic but I will be breeding them to try to see if I can further along the trait. As another poster commented, if the Piebald trait is genetic it will probably be a Recessive trait, meaning any offspring you get from the Father will have to be bred back to their Father or bred together to prove out the trait. I wish you very much good luck in the project.
I am including a few pictures of one of my hopeful’s. One is a full picture and one is a close up.

Please don’t laugh at the pitiful amount of Piebald compared to yours. LOL
Once again, good luck with your project.
Thanks,
Albey

Hi Bethoven,
From the close-ups, it definitely looks genetic to me. He is very cool looking. Are you here in the U.S.? If so put me down for a pair of the offspring. LOL
Thanks,
Albey
I have been following this post and decided that I also had to post lol. Your gecko is very unique bethoven and i would love to know how you get on with producing some hatchlings with the same trait. Would be cool to see some pie baldies
