NC Copperhead pair under tin

guttersnacks May 08, 2005 12:40 PM

Quick little ditty about these 2. They were at the bottom of a small pile of tins next to a field. By themselves, not so stunning, but together, they were jaw dropping to me. We brought them back and they've since hooked up in the cage.
The female is the upper light colored one.

I've never owned any hots before, but if I ever did, a well marked, colorful Copperhead is hard to beat. Speaking of North Carolina, do you ever herp in Dare co. Alligator River area? Check out the beauty I found last year on the Crotalidae forum. Kind of a so so pic with a cheap camera, but good enough to show what a nice specimen it was. IF it's warm enough tomorrow, may do the York River area in Va. Anyway, great pics.
