post-lay feeding

Just wanted some feedback. After you have removed the eggs from the female and cleaned out the enclosure so she can't smell them, in your experience how soon will she be likely to feed again?

I had a girl give me 6 good eggs this morning. Should i offer her a rat in a week or is that too optimistic?

Thanks!

i usually try and offer a smaller meal within 2 days, assuming everything has gone well and there were no complications.

start feeding again slow and steady, meals on the smaller size, no more than once a week, for at least 4 or 5 feedings before ramping up to larger items for the rebuilding/reweighting phase : )

I try them right away.like within minutes of the last egg at times...usually no deal........I will get a better responce the next day or so....and I try gerbils or hamsters or whatever.......

you should get a responce fairly quick unless you let them go until they turn blue again..then they will almost always wait till they shed again.......

.........the one today I will try again tomorrow.she was just mad today and still thinkingof the eggs she just laid...they really don;t know they are gone yet........just a reaction...........
