Saterday went to a place I was not completely familiar with and found some new spots. Only some skinks and ensatinas were found at a place I had been before.
Here are the totals for the day:

Zonata...................2
Lateralis.................2
Oreganus...............1
Thamnophis............1

Elgeria...................2
Skiltonianus............3
Gilberti...................3
S. Occidentalis.......~25
S. Graciosus...........1
uta stansburiana.....~5

Ensatina................~15

This garter snake was found under a small pile of rocks.

Found this ~4' striped racer under a rock less than a foot in diameter. It was a little chilly, so i could handle it and snap shots for a while.

I love the undersides of these snakes, yellow/orange/red

Then I came across the first zonata from this area for me.

It was in this crack.

Then 20 minutes later, found another zonata, this time a nice adult in...

...this crack. Also in the cracks to the right of the rock there was a small striped racer.

Then right next to this crack I found this large elgeria under a rock.

This place has plenty of rocks to look under but it is so hard to get to and go through, its steep and rough.

And Lastly, found this neonate Nor. Pac. under a rock just before
sundown. (as found under rock)

Enjoy,
Zack

Those pics look great.Especially the one of the striped racer where you can see the red/pink ventral scales.

Hi Zack

I love the oreganus' contrast. It looks almost white! Nice finds esp. with the zonatas. Keep the pics coming. Take care.
