I use Rodent Pro...so do many others I know. No problems.
I dont even use tongs, except to place the prey in the cage. Keeps my hands out of harm's way.
My snakes just feed right off the cage floor.
Smart move converting to f/t from live. I cannot for the life of me imagine why anyone would feed live prey.

I have never known a burm not eventually take to feeding on f/t prey; it is MUCH better for you and your snake and in time, your burm's feeding response will be just as strong as if it were alive. I use rodent pro and they are the best in terms of being able to get all of your prey items from one place (mice, rats, quail, chicks, rabbits, etc.). Customer service is excellent and quality is great. Kelly Haller, who frequents this forum has the best quality f/t mice I have ever seen; anyone just needing mice would do their animals well by going through Kelly.

NOW ON TO TONGS: anyone who does not use tongs to introduce dead prey to their burms is playing with a loaded gun and is practicing irresposible big snake keeping; eventually, a mistake will be made and that usually means drastically underestimating the striking capabilities of your pet burm. Go to www.tongs.com and get a pair of tongs and you will be all set.

Thanx

yesterday i went to a petco and picked up a frozen rat and some mice just to try and switch over to f/t plus it was feeding time

My Jungle Carpets both took it in about 5 secs

but my burm was a little morew hesitant and it took in like 10 mins but i was so happy all i did was i had to irritate it alittle by tapping it in the mouth a few times then it just struck it and coiled

ohh i did use tongs btw

Nate (ill be making an order today hopefully for my frozen goodies)
