It actually was Mother's day!

Well, maybe. I checked the female about 9 that morning and there was nothing. This morning I took this picture, so somewhere between then and now she dropped the eggs. Haven't done a count yet, I'll put up the number shortly. I had 5 very nice looking eggs from a het albino ball on Friday, so it was a good weekend for me.

I'd say that qualifies as a good weekend! Mom sure is a pretty python. Congrats!

.. and they all look good. What part is hardest, waiting for the eggs, or waiting for the hatching?

Well what a nice weekend, didn't get any new eggs/babies this weekend here though, big congrats, she's just being a good mom on mothers day. Best of luck with the babies.

I thought my clutch of 21 Borneo eggs was decent sized... 26! Yeow! Very good. Hey, what state are you located in (if in the US) and what does the sire to that female look like?

Thanks!

The male is the yellowhead. Thanks for the comments, I'm glad other people get as excited about them as I do.

D'oh! A YELLOW head!?! I would like to get a pair of JET BLACK (as close as possible) babies. I used to have a yellow head male too. I like them, but want ALL black again. Maybe you will hatch a few like that! Great stuff either way.

Matt

Admittedly, it is very unlikely that I'll turn out the jet black babies that Angel (googo151?) can with his group. But the developement of last year's babies was very surprising. A few of the babies were black like the mum, some were like the dad. but most looked pretty indeterminate -- I expected them to have tan heads, something like that. But I just took pics of a couple from last year -- they shed last week so it is a good time for it.. As you can see, they have chrome / grey heads. Realize too, these aren't holdbacks, they're ones that didn't sell -- so almost the opposite of holdbacks.
Actually, I'll put up pics in two posts, I still haven't had success in a multi pic post. If someone wants to email me the instructions, which I realize aren't very complicated, I'll spend some time on the testing forum to get the hang of it.

Matt, hope you like them. I've thought of getting an "all black" male, but I'm past running out of room, so it's hard to justify it to myself. If you've got any questions about them feel free to contact me directly.

Andys kids look great! O head blacks are great looking snakes regardless, and Andy has some nice ones, AND some nice ones with dark heads as well. Its hard to find blacks in general, especially nice ones. Most of them will be real nice and black by the time their adults.. anyways I'm babbling...

What a real treat to find. The parents are killer and can't wait to see the babies. I find the wait after you have the eggs seems longer, but how fun the day you see those little noses poking out of the eggs Best of luck and please post them as soon as you can, would love to see them... jody
