Misting Systems

brokers2k May 09, 2005 01:45 PM

I just got a 75gal tank for my suriname and want to buy a misting setup. Which one is best? I'm currently looking at one put out by Big Apple Herpetological.

I definatly would go with pro mist by pro products I just had a horror story with the rainmaker it took about a month to recive it and when I got it there were no instructions included after about 20 phone calls and about 10 e-mails I finaly spoke to someone. they said they will e-mail me the directions 5 days past they never did. I had the system working for 1 day and the pump burned out. the pump is junk it was so loud that I could hear it throughout my house. I'm so glad that I returned it
The next day I was surfing the web and came across pro mist I called got through right away the sales rep spoke with me for about an hour explaining the system to the finest detail He spoke with high intelagence and answered my every question in depth. I decided to order the pro mist and he said that it will arive the next day and it did. the pump is a heavy duty pump that is self priming and it can run dry. Also the pump is so silent all I hear is the mist that comes out of the nozeles it sounds like a rain forest. It was so easy to assemble it took only about 15 minutes.

The big apple mister has the same pump as the rainmaker it is not ment for back pressure it would burn out quickly also I found out that those pumps cost them $10 and they sell it for $80-$100 they are very loud. pro mist is the only company that has a reliable pump also they are the only ones out there that use metal nozels and quick connect fittings I highly recomend them here is there web site www.pro-products.com

dont make the same mistake I did it is worth the extra money
