Recessive

Raul is right on with the genes. However, the actual appearance of the heterozygote will differ depending on whether the mutant gene is dominant, codominant, or recessive to the normal version of the gene. Read the entire web site, not just the portion of it dealing with recessive mutant genes.

To summarize:
Recessive mutant gene - heterozygote looks like the normal homozygote.
Dominant mutant gene - heterozygote looks like the mutant homozygote
Codominant mutant gene - heterozygote looks like neither homozygote. It may be more or less intermediate between the two homozygotes or may show some other difference.

Hope this helps.
